Leon Redbone, Let It Snow

Leon Redbone, Let It Snow
African Guitar Summit, Afe Hyia Pa
The Great Tubular Oracle says the song’s title means “Happy New Year” in the Akan language of Ghana, so it’s here today as the final piece in my holiday music collection.
Perhaps the two works most famously associated with the New Year’s Day concerts in Vienna are the father-son duo of Johann Strauss, Sr.’s Radetzky March and Strauss Jr.’s Blue Danube waltz. An abridged recording of the waltz was used in 2001: A Space Odyssey; this segment is is only about half the length of a full concert performance, but hey, the visuals are much better.
